About Deanna
American violist Deanna Petre enjoys a diverse career as a performer and teaching artist and is co-founder of The Fearless Artist Mastermind. She emanates a calm, positive leadership style and her deep compassion for others helps her serve The Fearless Artist community.
After cultivating a diverse performing career in Europe over her ten years living in Paris, she is now based in Minneapolis, MN, where she performs with numerous ensembles and holds a private teaching studio. She also writes a blog on the joys of being a mother and a musician.
Deanna is a graduate of the Juilliard School, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris.

Violist Deanna Petre enjoys a multifaceted career as a performer, teaching artist, and as co-founder of The Fearless Artist Mastermind. After spending ten years cultivating her diverse performing career in Paris and across Europe, she is now based in Minneapolis, MN where she can be seen performing with numerous ensembles such as the Minnesota Orchestra and Candlelight Concerts, and holds a private teaching studio. She is also passionate about introducing classical music to the youngest of audiences, and she performs frequently for the Petite Concerts series.
During her time in France, Deanna performed frequently with the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, the Orchestre National d’Ile de France, and as guest principal violist with the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne, among other ensembles in the Paris region. She also performed with the Orquesta de Cámara Galega in Spain, the Orchestre National de Pays de la Loire, and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. Passionate about chamber music, she was a regular guest artist for the Opus 16 Concerten series in the Netherlands. She also appeared with the Ensemble IMAGO in Paris, at the ClasClas International Music Festival in Spain, and for the Sinfonietta Paris series. In the US she has performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, South Dakota Symphony, the Lakes Area Music Festival, and the Artosphere Festival, as well as in the JOYA series and Music on the Hill series in Minnesota. As an advocate for introducing classical music to young audiences, Deanna, along with pianist Michelle Lynne, performed interactive concerts and gave master classes in international schools across Europe through the Juilliard Global Ventures program. She also initiated outreach concerts in France, Switzerland, and Romania.Deanna has been fortunate to study with fantastic pedagogues and she draws upon her knowledge and experience for inspiration in her teaching. Currently, Deanna maintains a private teaching studio for intermediate and advanced viola students in the Twin Cities, and in the past she taught at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. During her time at Juilliard, she was a recipient of the MAP teaching fellowship.
Driven by her entrepreneurial desire to support freelance musicians, Deanna co-founded The Fearless Artist Mastermind in 2020 with pianist Michelle Lynne. Through the Mastermind, Deanna and Michelle guide and coach musicians as they set goals, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insight that helps provide a structure to achieving their goals. The Fearless Artist Mastermind consists of a Mastermind, a monthly membership, workshops, podcast, and coaching.
Deanna is a graduate of the Juilliard School, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, during which time she was a recipient of the Harriet Hale Woolley Scholarship from the Fondation des Etats-Unis. She loves traveling, learning Romanian from her husband, and most of all, being a mom to two beautiful boys.
About Michelle
Michelle Lynne is a Canadian pianist, educator, and entrepreneur based in the Netherlands. She tours extensively throughout Europe, performing in multiple genres, and is the Artistic Director of the chamber music concert series Opus 16 Concerts.
Alongside her performing career, Michelle is the co-founder of The Fearless Artist Mastermind (TFA), a global community that empowers musicians to build sustainable freelance careers by offering training and coaching on branding, social media, mindset and creating wealth.
She was previously a Lecturer of Entrepreneurship at both Codarts Rotterdam and Conservatorium Maastricht, and has coached hundreds of musicians worldwide to overcome perfectionism and take bold steps in their careers. Michelle also hosts The Fearless Artist Podcast, featuring leading voices in the field of musician entrepreneurship. She has recently been invited to speak at Classical:NEXT, Hunter College (NYC), Adirondack Performing Arts Festival, among others.
Passionate about connection and helping musicians overcome limitations, her work bridges performance and education, helping to shape a future for classical music where leadership, visibility, and community are at the center.
She graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Master’s and Artist Diploma in piano performance. Michelle is full of enthusiasm and optimism, and believes that artists deserve to earn a good income and should never be their own ceilings.

As a pianist, singer and entrepreneur, Canadian Michelle Lynne enjoys a wide and varied career, whether on stage performing, delighting audiences across Europe, speaking at events, or teaching her classes on Entrepreneurship at Conservatorium Maastricht and Codarts Rotterdam.
She loves to bring joy to audiences through diverse programs and connect them with special experiences through classical music concerts, or crossover concerts in partnership with Candlelight Concerts.
Her debut album featuring a combination of original songs and impressionist piano repertoire is being released in early 2023.
Michelle is often invited as a guest speaker and to give workshops on a variety of topics such as entrepreneurship, building an online community, social media, marketing and branding for musicians, and healthy communication across organizations.
Having earned her Masters Degree and Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at the Université de Montréal, she has also studied with incredible piano professors at some of the most prestigious summer institutes in the world.
As co-founder of The Fearless Artist Mastermind with partner Deanna Petre, Michelle believes that musicians have the ability to build their own successful careers and should not be limited by their own glass ceilings. She facilitates Mastermind groups and coaches musicians to reach their full potential and unlock the gold that is inside of them so that they can accomplish their purpose. She teaches Entrepreneurship at two major conservatories in the Netherlands.
